Congratulations to our 26 new 1st year apprentices that were sworn in on August 28th at our monthly Union Meeting!
Thanks to everyone that helped with this year’s family picnic. We had a record 280 attendants, which made for a great time with fellow members and their families.
Congratulations to Matt Gedicke, Chris Hansen(Not pictured), Tyler Knutson, Derek Morrow, Mitch Nesler, Travis Peterson & Ryan Russell for successfully completing their 5 year apprenticeship. Great job guys!
Huge thanks to our Local 6 Journeyman, Apprentices and participating contractors that donated their Saturday to join us in the Annual Waters Off on Saturday March 25th. We had one of the best turnouts ever that included 23 Local 6 members, Three Rivers Community Action, Goodin and some City and State Representatives.
This joint effort allowed us to help 23 less fortunate individuals and families with their plumbing related issues that led to higher utility costs and potential health hazards related to mold. See the video here from KAAL TV: http://www.kaaltv.com/news/

Business Manager Jeremy Andrist and Training Coordinator Jeremy Thompson were invited to participate in the Annual Block Kids event that is organized by the National Association for Women in Construction. This years’ event was held at Kenyon High School on February 30th and helps introduce the building and construction trades to middle schoolers from different communities in Southeastern MN.
Local #6 once again partnered with Three Rivers Community Action to do the annual “Heat’s On”. This is a great way for our members to give back to the community and helps out so many less fortunate residents in our community. View the full article here.
